Jeffrey Ng
President and Founder
Jeffrey founded Eastmedia in 1999 as a multi-disciplinary Web technology company. As President of Eastmedia he leads business development efforts and provides technology strategy consultation for clients across a wide range of industries. Jeffrey brings over a decade of experience in technology and entrepreneurship to the Mobile and Web development communities, where he is an active participant and supporter. Outside of Eastmedia Jeffrey is also involved in the real estate, apparel and construction industries.
Josh Viney
Director of Product Development
Josh is an expert in user experience, usability, all aspects of Web product development and management and running large, high-traffic sites. Prior to joining Eastmedia, Josh was Senior User Experience Product Manager at Spark Networks plc (AMEX: LOV), and was responsible for the re-launch of their Webby award-winning Web site JDate.com. He is an active member of the Interaction Design Association (IxDA) and Usability Professionals Association (UPA).
Matt Pelletier
Director of Research and Development
Matt is an expert Web, .NET and Ruby / Rails developer, as well as an author, speaker, and instructor. He is an active and well-regarded member of the Ruby / Rails communities. He was an official speaker at RailsConf 2006, MySQLConf 2007 and has presented at a number of other conferences and venues including BarCampNYC, RubyConf 2006, the Google Tech Talk series, and the Federal Reserve. He is the founder of the New York Rails user group and supporter and advocate of OpenID.
Jeffrey Boulet
Art Director
Jeff is a senior graphic designer and Web developer. He is an expert in the tools of his trade including standards compliant XHTML and CSS with a passion for creating elegant usable designs. In addition to his web production skills, Jeff is an accomplished furniture designer and amateur photographer always on the lookout for inspiration.
Scott Taylor
Senior Developer
Scott is a seasoned Ruby / Rails developer. Scott has contributed to several open source projects such as RSpec, Rubinius, and DeepTest, and remains an avid fan of Behavior Driven Development. Prior to joining Eastmedia, he was the lead developer on a popular social networking site for writers.
Jonathan George
Senior Developer
Jonathan is an all-around Ruby / Rails and iPhone ninja and loves getting his hands dirty. Prior to joining Eastmedia, he founded and developed numerous web properties. When not coding, he enjoys traveling, driving fast and learning about different industries to draw insight from.
Albert Hwang
Web Developer
Albert is a Web Producer with over 3 years of professional experience developing hand-coded, standards compliant, and accessible XHTML and CSS. He holds an undergraduate degree from NYU Tisch, where he focused on direction, design, and Creating Original Work. His recent new media work includes designing and building the Wiremap, a 3d volumetric renderer. Albert is lead Web Producer on many of Eastmedia’s projects.
Emily Kramer
Senior Project Manager
Emily Kramer is a digital project manager with a special place in her heart for budget management, calendars, color coding, re-organizing and writing. Her favorite projects are community driven products and services that enable energetic people to do interesting work. She's worked at agencies and start-ups, including one of her own. When she's not in the office, Emily bikes, plays music and enjoys her new neighborhood of Fort Greene.
